Renting Out Our Space

Policy Statement
Atonement Lutheran Church building, and grounds are provided through the Grace of God and should be used for His Glory. Organizations whose beliefs and practices are not contradictory to the beliefs and practices of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod may use Atonement Lutheran Church for meetings and other events. We request that all users, members, or nonmembers, should be mindful of the purpose of God's House and strive to maintain and honor its safety, longevity, and beauty.
The Church Council is charged with developing this policy and delegates responsibility for its implementation and coordination to the Board of Trustees. As such, the Atonement Lutheran Church Board of Trustees has the right to alter the rental donation or deposit fees or to amend or modify these regulations as necessary and appropriate.
Physical facilities include the parking lot, grounds, signage, rooms, furnishings, and portable and stationary equipment. All requests for physical facilities will be submitted to Atonement's Church Office Administrator in writing on the Application for Use of Facilities Form. The Office Administrator will approve the request with the Board of Trustees and maintain a master schedule of facilities to use in the church office and update it regularly.
Policy Guidelines
Use of the nursery, preschool refrigerator, and the preschool wing and its equipment is not permitted.
Sunday activities will be scheduled after 1:00 pm and weekday activities will be scheduled after 6:00 PM. Saturday activities will be scheduled depending on space availability. All activities will conclude by 11:00 pm.
All rooms used (including restrooms) must be returned to their original condition. All lights must be turned off and all outside doors locked.
Facility users agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless Atonement Lutheran Church, its staff, and officers from all loss (personal or otherwise), damage, claims, suits, expenses, or otherwise resulting from such use. Organizations, groups, or persons using the church facility are responsible for all damages to the church facility during its use and will be charged for the actual cost for repair and/or replacement. All damaged or lost equipment should be reported immediately to the church office staff.
Organizations, groups, or persons using furnishings or equipment will be responsible for all damages resulting from their use of them and will be charged for the actual cost for repair and/or replacement.
Any group of children and/or teenagers, regardless of the size of group, must be always supervised by one or more adults.
Food and beverage consumption is allowed only in the Great Room.
Smoking of any kind, or any illegal drugs are not permitted anywhere in the facility or on the grounds.
Advertising for political or anti-Christian organizations is not permitted on Atonement Lutheran Church premises. Permission to use Atonement Lutheran Church facilities is not synonymous with endorsement of any program.
Posters, signs, decorations, or other physical alterations must be approved by the church office staff prior to posting. The display must not cause damage to walls or bulletin boards. (painter's tape is preferred)
Use of church audio, audio-visual and/or stationary equipment in the sanctuary must be operated by a trained Atonement audio visual personnel only.
A $10.00 refundable deposit is required to obtain a key fob for access to the facility. The key fob will be programmed so the renter can only have access to the facility on the days that have been approved to rent. Arrangements will be made with the Church Office Administrator to pick up the key fob prior to the scheduled event. The deposit is due when picking up the key fob and will be refunded upon it being returned.
Equipment is available for use in the Great Room if communicated on application.
Setting up and tearing down tables and chairs will be the responsibility of the renter. If the renter would like the host to set up the room, there will be an additional fee for this service.
Host - if you are having an event other than a wedding that consists of 75 people or more, serving food, and/or serving alcohol a host is required to be at the event.
Members may borrow tables and chairs for use at home. Please refer to Borrowing Chairs and table policy.
If Atonement's Church Office Administrator is not available to process a request Atonements President, Vice President or Head Trustee may process and approve the application
Rental Spaces
Atonement Lutheran Church does not charge a usage fee for members, community groups, service groups or other nonprofit agencies that wish to use our facility for meetings and groups of less than 75 people unless food is served.
Funerals for ALC members and/or immediate family are exempt from all fees. If food or a meal needs to be provided, please see ALC's Funeral Meal Policy.


GREAT ROOM (SEATS 150)
This space is used for banquets and dinner events.
Cost (150) - $200 for four-hour event or less, $25 for each additional hour
ALC Hosted Events (75+) - $100 for a four-hour event or less, $25 for additional hour
Available Equipment for Use (no cost): Folding Chairs (135), 8ft Rectangle Tables (6), 6ft Rectangle Tables (2), 10 ft Round Tables (10)
KITCHEN
Our kitchen has two ovens available to warm items for meals, as well as ample sinks and counter space for final preparations. Note that our supplies in our kitchen (paper products, linens, beverages, utensils) are not provided.
This space is included with our Great Room space only.






SANCTUARY (SEATS 300)
Our worship space has view of our garden space and availability of our video and audio system, as well as our piano and/or organ with enough notice.
Cost - $100 for a four-hour event or less, $25 for each additional hour
OUTTDOOR LAWN (NO LIMIT)
From concept to completion, our architecture services use the latest technology and techniques to deliver exceptional results.
PARKING LOT (110 SPACES, 5 HANDICAP)
Our parking lot can be used by itself, as we do for our Trunk or Treat event in October. This space is free for use for any other events taking place on the property without a cost.

Set Up and Tear Down of Furniture - $150
Atonement's trained Audio Technician - $50 for a wedding
Cleaning Fee (if spaces are used and event serves food) - $100
Director of Music (musical accompany in sanctuary) - $150
As noted above, a fob for entrance has a $10 fee that is refundable upon it being returned
Users must provide their own paper products, kitchen supplies, beverages, coffee, linens, etc. Otherwise, a fee will be added to replace items used.
If alcohol is requested for any event, the group must complete the Alcohol Service Agreement and pay the fees.

We strive to keep our facility in good shape. Please complete the work order form above if there is something in need of service.
Proper Care of Atonement Lutheran Church Building
n order to preserve and keep the facility in good shape the Board of Trustees has set the following rules for use of the building and church property:
There is to be no kicking, throwing, and bouncing of balls or playing of games with balls in the Great Room or Classrooms.
If using markers, paint, glue or other artist materials on the floor or tables please cover the area with newspaper, cloth or other material to protect to surface. Please wipe up immediately after each use. If the surface gets damaged notify Trustees and remove from use.
Do not drag tables, chairs, or other furniture/items across the floor.
All food and drink items and containers– including wrappers, containers and cups should be disposed of in the trash cans in the kitchen and not in office trash cans.
All food should be cleaned up from counter surfaces and floors before leaving the building.
All spills should be cleaned up and mopped before leaving the building.
